Casting Processes

Hand molding process

We use sand casting to create high-quality and complex components.

The hand-made and compacted sand molds are suitable for casting individual pieces and small series with a weight of five kilograms up to large parts with a liquid weight of up to 45 tons. In hand molding, the molding boxes reach dimensions of 7,500 x 7,500 x 6,000 millimeters and can hold up to 270 tons of molding material.

Usually you work with chrome ore sand to lay on the model and quartz sand to fill the mold. The molding boxes are filled using so-called continuous mixers, in which the sands are mixed with resin and hardener.

It is poured both in a hollow form and against styrofoam (lost model).
