Heat Treatment

The heat treatment of steel casting is a process step to control the manufacturing and material properties. The material and wall thickness of the cast part are of decisive importance for determining the process parameters, such as the heating and cooling speed and the temperature and holding time.

The heat treatment is carried out according to the physical requirements of the materials the corresponding spectrum. This includes:

• quenching and tempering,
• stress relief annealing,
• solution annealing up to diffusion annealing: with furnace temperatures of up to 1,250 degrees.
